With the University mission and values as our guide, the Office of Student Involvement and Student Development are home to several unique leadership development opportunities. Central to each of these programs is the theoretical use of The Social Change Model for Leadership. You may hear students on campus refer to this theory as the 7 C's for Change. Activate, Emerge, Surge, and the Leadership Awards are guided by the model and the 7 C's for Change. They are:
- Consciousness of Self & Others
- Common Purpose
- Controversy with Civility
