The Society of Physics Students (SPS) is a national organization that exists to help students develop the skills necessary for them to succeed professionally in nearly any field.
Some of these skills include leadership experience, effective communication, establishing a network of contacts, and presenting work in professional settings; but wait here's the best part!
SPS is not only for physics majors - it's for anyone with an interest in physics! There are members from a wide range of majors including: geology, engineering, chemistry, computer science, mathematics, medicine.
Our past events have included:
- Annual joint picnic between the Society of Physics Students and Witt Math
- Visiting COSI in Columbus, OH.
- Participating in Girl Scout Science Night, an annual event hosted by the science departments of Wittenberg University for young women in the Springfield community.
