A multidisciplinary science that studies the nervous system, neuroscience at Wittenberg includes courses in biology and psychology, as well as hands-on learning opportunities.

Neuroscience is a multidisciplinary science that studies the nervous system.  Our program requires students to complete core coursework in both the fields of biology and psychology along with at least one elective course in  biology, chemistry, computer science, math, philosophy or psychology.

In addition, for successful completion of the minor, students must have a hands-on learning component - either an internship or a research experience in the area of neuroscience.  Within the program coursework, students can take courses ranging from the cellular and molecular aspects of neurobiology to the psychological aspects of behavioral neuroscience.
