Learn how to audition for college music programs and their scholarships at Wittenberg’s annual Music Audition Workshop!
You will perform an audition, receive feedback from a panel of Wittenberg University music department faculty, and learn about the entire audition process.

For high school juniors and seniors
Krieg Hall (the music building) is located at 632 Woodlawn Ave. Free parking is available in the Krieg Hall Parking Lot (on the east side of Krieg Hall) and in the Student Center Parking Lot (across the street from Krieg Hall, on the other side of Ward Street). If you are visiting Wittenberg from out of town, you might wish to check out this list of Springfield hotels.

Core activities (Krieg Recital Hall):
7:00 pm - Welcome
7:15 pm - Mock auditions (perform one, and watch others)
8:30 pm - Discussion: choosing music, stage presence, majors and double majors, and more
9:00 pm - Adjourn!
4:45–6:00 pm - All participants are invited to attend part of a rehearsal of the Wittenberg Singers (Krieg Recital Hall).
4:45–6:15 pm - All participants are invited to attend part of a rehearsal of the Wittenberg Symphonic Band (Weaver Chapel).
5:00–7:00 pm - All participants are invited to have dinner at Post 95 or the “CDR” (Center Dining Room), both of which are located in the Student Center, across from the music building. Meal vouchers will be provided (free of charge) in the Music Office in Krieg Hall, from 1:00 to 6:00, on the day of the workshop.
What to Perform
Prepare a solo or étude about 3–5 minutes in length. If you wish, choose a solo that is appropriate for OMEA (Ohio Music Education Association) Solo and Ensemble adjudication. A pianist will be provided for singers (but is not needed for instrumentalists). If you are a singer, send sheet music via…
