I like to write a bit of creative fiction every now and then during my free time. I like to write stories that are dark, thrilling and paranormal. I also write poetry occasionally.
I have a handful of 12 page research papers under my belt and I think I’m equally proud of all of them. The bigger the research paper, the bigger the achievement.
Nowhere specific. Just alone in a dimly lit room on a rainy night.
I am obsessed with page justification when I write on a computer. I like my paragraphs to be aligned to both the left and the right so that they form neat symmetrical blocks of words. Strictly speaking, that’s not proper MLA format, but nothing irks me more than a jagged right margin.
After reading The Road over the summer, it’s definitely Cormac McCarthy. His ability to push the boundaries and conventions that restrict most authors is testimony to his prowess as a writer. Don’t ever be in a rush with your writing. Always make sure have plenty of time before the due date so that you can work slowly and invest your sincerest efforts into the assignment. This will ensure that your unique voice as a writer will come through to the reader. Writing that has been nurtured and cared for will be noticeably more powerful.
Please feel free to disagree or argue with me. I’m not going to be offended if you don’t like my advice so please tell me.
