Information for Prospective International Students

WELCOME PROSPECTIVE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS!!

Wittenberg hosts approximately 30-40 new international students each year from 20-30 countries. The students come either for one year or for a degree. Generally the one year students come from northern Europe and Japan and are often interested in learning English and American culture.

International Transfer

Transfer Admission – Wittenberg welcomes applications from international transfer students with an academic average of 2.0 or better. An ideal candidate should have at least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Deadline for Fall admission is May 15. To apply:


1. Complete the International Application for Transfer Admission

2. Include a personal statement and explain why you want to transfer to Wittenberg

International Student Application

International ApplicationThank you for your interest in applying to Wittenberg University. This application is for international students only. Applying online will expedite your application process with NO application fee. All non-U.S. citizens should submit an international student application. All U.S. citizens, dual U.S. citizens, and U.S. permanent residents should submit an application for domestic students.

International Admission

Wittenberg hosts approximately 30-40 new international students each year from 20-30 countries. The students come either for one year or for a degree. Wittenberg is a liberal arts and sciences university located in Springfield, Ohio, that covers about .5 square kilometers. Wittenberg is recognized as one of the top 100 national liberal arts colleges in the United States.

Welcome to the Office of International Education

StudentsThe mission of the Office of International Education is to enhance all aspects of international education at Wittenberg, both curricular and non-curricular. The activities in the office range from study abroad advising and administering Wittenberg’s five direct exchange programs and four consortial memberships to immigration and tax advising for students.
