For the 22 members of the Wittenberg Alumni Board, the winter meeting on campus, Feb. 1, provided an opportunity for another dialogue with President Laurie M. Joyner, Ph.D. Joyner provided insight into action items discussed at the winter meeting of the university's Board of Directors and answered questions from Alumni Board members.
With photos of campus life and traditions in full view, Founders served as the scene where seniors interacted as they celebrated 100 Days 'Til Graduation, Jan. 31. Sponsored by the Wittenberg Alumni Association, the annual event provided a special cocktail and dessert reception for the Class of 2013, as well as an opportunity to engage with President Laurie M. Joyner, who has been named an honorary member of the class.
Following a welcome by Provost Christopher M. Duncan, the Wittenberg faculty heard from President Joyner on Jan. 29 during its winter retreat at the Heritage Center of Clark County. After providing an update on action items from the Board of Directors meeting the week prior, Joyner opened the floor to questions on a range of topics.
On Jan. 20, Head Cross Country Coach Craig Penney asked President Laurie M. Joyner to discuss the powerful role of the liberal arts and Wittenberg's mission with prospective students interested in running cross country at Wittenberg.
