Minor Overview

22 Hours are needed for a Pre-Modern and Ancient World Studies minor. Areas of Study include: Art, Economics, History, Literature and Language, Music, Philosophy, Political Science, Religion and Theatre. Some courses and departments directly reflect the area of study, yet some courses in History might be considered meeting an area of study in Religion. A course in Economics might, in fact, be considered a Philosophy area of study.

Courses

 

PAST 400 Capstone Seminar.  4 semester hours.
Capstone course in which the junior or senior Pre-Modern and Ancient World Studies minor integrates the major strands of Pre-Modern and Ancient World history, culture, religion and philosophy, and literature around a specified theme and writes an extensive research paper. Writing intensive.
Prerequisite: Must be a junior or senior Pre-Modern and Ancient Studies minor and have completed twelve hours of the PAST minor. Every year.
