History Major: Thirty-six (36) semester hours in History: twenty (20) hours in 100 and 200 level courses that MUST include HIST 202 and HIST 203; twelve (12) hours in 300 level courses; and HIST 411. In addition, history majors must take one intermediate course in Languages (Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Russian or Spanish).
History Minor: 20 hours in History: two courses at the 100/200 level; two courses at the 300/400 level; and another course at any level
Surveys that study some region or civilization of the past. Some sections are writing intensive. May be repeated for credit.

Investigation of significant ideas, people, events and problems in World History from prehistory to 1400. Some sections are writing intensive. Every year.
