I arrived in New York on a beautiful fall day to attend the Student Conference on U.S. Affairs (SCUSA) at West Point Military Academy as Wittenberg University’s delegate. Dressed in my business attire and entirely unsure what to expect, I loaded my bag onto the U.S. Military Academy bus which drove me and the other well-dressed delegates onto the base.

Wittenberg University , together with 12 other Lutheran colleges, have joined together to create a quality program exclusively for our students that wish to spend a semester in Washington , DC . The program gives students a full load of credits that transfer directly back to Wittenberg . Half of the credits are earned through an internship experience; the other half are earned through classes and field trips organized by the college. Students live in penthouse apartments located along the Potomac River in Arlington , VA.
