Joanne Quimby

Joanne Quimby, Visiting Assistant Professor of Japanese, teaches Japanese language as well course in Japanese literature. After earning a dual Ph.D. in Comparative Literature and Modern Japanese Literature at Indiana University in 2010, she joined the Wittenberg faculty in the fall of 2011. Dr.

Kurt J. Fickert Award


This award is presented annually to outstanding juniors or seniors majoring in German, French or Spanish who possess those qualities exemplified by Professor Fickert during his more than thirty years of service to the University: an understanding of and commitment to the humanistic values fostered by an education in the liberal arts, a lively interest in intellectual endeavor and achievement, and plans for a career that will enrich the lives of others.

Spanish Courses

105. Spanish for Professionals I. 4 semester hours.

The first course of the two-course series designed to meet the needs of professional learners enabling them to achieve language competency goals within the context of their professional interests and in a learning environment designed to accommodate the lifestyle of the non-traditional student. Enrollment is limited to students in the School of Community Education.
