Student Organizations Directory

Wittenberg has much to offer in the way of student activities.  The 130 groups and organizations described in the following pages offer you the opportunity to compete, collaborate, create, and perform at your personal best for the good of the Wittenberg community.  But Wittenberg will not be the only one to benefit from your efforts.  You will benefit, too.  Simply put, students who get involved on campus have a better college experience.  They have more friends, deeper relationships with faculty and administrators, and greater satisfaction with Wittenberg overall.  Involved students at Witt pass on their light to others, earning the admiration of peers and professors alike.

At Wittenberg, students are truly empowered to impact the life of our campus through the student organizations they create.  It’s one of the things that makes us distinctive.  Student organization members and leaders shape our college experiences and contribute to the important discussions that happen each year.  For all of these reasons, we hope that you will get involved on campus by joining a student group this 2010-2011 academic year.

If you are already involved in a student organization, we hope you will consider deepening your commitment to it by taking on a leadership role.  You would be in good company if you chose to do so.  Every semester, there are about 400 students who hold student organization leadership positions.  They regularly tell us that their involvement connects them with campus life and their fellow students, broadens their exposure to diverse ideas and people, helps them manage their time and set priorities, and enables them to put into practice the lessons they learn in class.  This directory is a tool for you and all student leaders.  You can use it to stay in touch with other campus organizations or to seek them out for the purpose of collaborating on a program or taking on common issues.
