President Laurie M. Joyner was interviewed by Director of News Services and Sports Information Ryan Maurer, Oct. 4, about her first Homecoming as Wittenberg’s president. The audio interview, prepared for a segment known as “Inside Wittenberg,” was aired during halftime of the Oct. 6 football game against Wabash College.
The interview covered Joyner’s transition during her first semester on campus, her dedication to connecting with alumni, and the warm welcome her family has enjoyed since arriving at Wittenberg. She is one of 10 interview subjects featured on “Inside Wittenberg” during the 2012 football season, with the others (through Oct. 23) being volleyball standout Jessica Batanian ’13, Men’s and Women’s Golf Head Coach Jeff Roope, Director of Community Service Kristen Collier, Director of the Writing Center Michael Mattison, Susan Hirt Hagen Center for Civic and Urban Engagement Director Stephanie McCuistion, and Matevia Family Endowed University Pastor Rachel Tune.
Wittenberg dropped a hard-fought 27-24 decision to Wabash that day, but Joyner was introduced to many Tiger fans for the first time.
