Requirements for Theatre Majors.
A theatre major completes 36 semester hours of course work. Required courses are THDN 222, 226, 230, 260, 270, 300 and 401. The student also chooses four hours from the following: THDN 232, 233, 234, or 235. The student also completes four hours from: THDN 240, 250, 322, 331, 400, 490, and 492. The student also takes two dance technique classes, fulfills a number of production requirements, completes an integrated learning unit and passes a two-part senior comprehensive examination.
Requirements for Dance Majors.
A dance major completes 38 semester hours of course work. Required courses are THDN 211, 215, 311, 313, and 401. The student also completes two semester hours of THDN 102, eight semester hours chosen from THDN 030, 031, 032, 040, 041, 042, 050, 051, and 052--these eight semester hours must include either THDN 032, 042, or 052. The student completes either THDN 112, 210, or 200--a dance culture topics course and four semester hours chosen from THDN 180, 181, 182; or THDN 233, 234, 235; or THDN 226. The student also serves on one technical production crew, completes an integrated learning unit and passes a two-part senior comprehensive examination.
