One goal of the EAS faculty is to have all of our students study in the East Asian country or city of their choice during their career at Witt, whether it be China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, or South Korea. We believe that it is important for our students to have a real life experience with the languages, histories, religions and politics they study on campus. We arrange for our students to spend a semester, a summer, or a whole year in a variety of programs in places such as Beijing, Tokyo, Nagoya, Seoul, Osaka, Nanjing, Mukden, and many other cities. We have exchange relationships with schools such as Sophia University and Kansai Gaidai in Japan and Fudan University in Shanghai, China. We are members of consortia that have study programs in many cities throughout East Asia, giving our students a wide range of educational and living arrangements.
