Clubs and Internships

How can you get the most out of your time at Wittenberg?

  • Student-run clubs: The East Asian Institute, East Asian Studies program and Business department organize and coordinate opportunities for students to learn outside the classroom.
  • Off-campus opportunities include work/study at local businesses, internships (both governmental and business), and conferences organized by the State of Ohio, U.S. Commercial Service, and Miami Valley International Trade Association.
  • Self-study and Reading List for International Business
  • Study abroad is the best way to experience the culture and language.  Wittenberg has ties with Japanese and Chinese universities (Kansai Gaidai, Sophia, and Fudan Universities)  for a semester or year exchange.  Wittenberg also sponsors summer academic trips to Tokyo, Hong Kong, and The Silk Road.
  • Internships (both domestic internships and international internships) get students deeply involved in a real-world international business project.  Paid or unpaid, they may be eligible for course credit.   A limited number of  internship stipends are available through current grant funding.  With the support of Wittenberg's Career Center, the Institute advises students and coordinates internship placements.
  • Jobs after graduation.  Yes, there is a life after Wittenberg, and you can use your Witt East Asian skills jobs overseas to learn even more in a first career.  Check out the link for just some of the possibilities.
