Women's Tennis Hopes to Excel in 2000

With a mix of experience and youth, the Tigers are ready to improve on a solid season and make their mark during the 2000 season. Head coach Dave Engle returns several veteran players and also welcomes a host of new faces to the collegiate court.

Topping the list of returners is senior Annie Nickerson (Granville, Ohio/Granville) , juniors Sara Deskin (Youngstown, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) ,Larisa Kruze (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Ursula Academy) and sophomores Jennifer Hoch (Lancaster, Ohio/Lancaster) and Sarah Bonar (Lancaster, Ohio/Lancaster).

The Tigers contiue each year to build a stronger program with tough competition during their annual spring trip, as well as contests with Division I programs during the fall season. Wittenberg looks forward to this competiton to allow for continued improvement in the North Coast Athletic Conference. Once again, the NCAC will be one of the toughest conferences in the NCAA Division III and the Tigers will face some of the best competitors in each contest.

Wittenberg has made continued improvements throughout the past several years and continue to set its sights high as they strive for a strong conference finish.
