SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — The Wittenberg Tigers and Calvin Knights played Saturday evening's NCAA Division III women's soccer tournament second round game on a razor's edge. In what has to be one of the closest games the 2007 NCAA tournament has seen so far, both teams played their best soccer of the year, sending the game through two regulation halves, two overtimes, and careening into penalty kicks. SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — The Wittenberg Tigers and the Penn State-Behrend Lions battled out 55 minutes of hard-nosed, high-energy, and scoreless soccer. In the 56th minute, everything changed. CLEVELAND, Ohio — Wittenberg goalkeeper Meghan O’Rourke (Columbus, Ohio/Worthington Kilbourne) tied, and then broke, the NCAC career shutout record with her 41st and 42nd, leading the Tigers to a pair of wins over Denison, 2-0, and Oberlin, 1-0 in overtime. She made four saves in each game, including stopping a Yeowoman breakaway in the extra session, which allowed her team the chance to score the game-winner.
