SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The feel of fall soccer was in the air Friday night as the Wittenberg Tigers took on the Blue Knights from Urbana in their first reserve game of the 2007 season. The brisk air and cool winds were no factor for Wittenberg as they took hold of a 1-0 win.

The Tigers took advantage of a retreating Urbana defense, having possession most of the game. With only 12 players, they worked through fatigue, creating many chances and scored in the first half on a goal from freshman Brittany Mantell. The Tigers are back in action on Oct. 12 against Cedarville.
