2001 Women's Cross Country Running Strong
Weide & Gerstle | Sarah Weide (left) and Abi Gerstle (right) are doing a fine job of leading the tigers this season.
Their leadership extends off of the course, as they are co-captains of the girls team. Their dedication to running and hard work ethic sets a good example for
the young team of Tigers. Abi, a junior, has been the Tiger's top runner for the majority of the season. She qualified for the NCAA National
Cross Country Championships last fall and hopes to do so again this year. But this time, she will hopefully not be making the trip to Nationals alone.
Sarah Weide, the lone senior running for the Wittenberg Girls, is hoping to qualify with her. Weide qualified for the 2000 NCAA Track & Field Championships
in the 800m and is training toward another appearance at the National level. These upperclassmen are followed by
