CEDARVILLE, Ohio — Saving their best performance for the end of the season, Wittenberg's women's 4 x 400 meter relay squad set a new school record as part of the Cedarville Challenge to cap off the season. Athlete of the Week: Manny Lamarre Earns NCAC Athlete of the Week Award |
CLEVELAND, Ohio — Wittenberg sophomore attacker Jordan Beauchamp (Noblesville, IN/Hamilton Southeastern) scored seven goals and added four ground balls as Wittenberg defeated Oberlin, 20-8, and Denison, 9-6, in NCAC play last week. The Tigers defeated the Big Red for the first time in 24 tries, a streak that stretched back to the 1990 season. GRANVILLE, Ohio — The Wittenberg men's and women's track and field teams piled up the points in Day 2 of the 2009 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Indoor Championships, with the women scoring in all but three events en route to 83 points and a fourth-place finish. GRANVILLE, Ohio — The Wittenberg Tiger track and field team's set the bar high in their second meet of the season, posting a number of strong performances in the unscored Denison Lid Lifter. Four different Tigers claimed individual crowns in their events, highlighted by a double win for Erik Larkin (Cincinnati, Ohio/Country Day) in the high jump and triple jump.
