CANTON, Ohio — The whole point of a "last chance meet" is for collegiate student-athletes to achieve more, to improve their marks of the regular season and enhance their chances of reaching a national championship event. Wittenberg sophomore Neil Anderson (Lakewood, Ohio/Lakewood) did just that Saturday, bettering his NCAA B Cut time in the 500-yard freestyle to highlight a strong team performance at the Kenyon Invitational. CANTON, Ohio — The Wittenberg Tigers put the finishing touches on the 2007-08 regular season with a mixed bag of final results from the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) championships at C.T. CANTON, Ohio — The Wittenberg Tigers staged a rally on Friday on Day 2 of the 2008 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) championships at C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton, Ohio. The Tiger men moved past arch-rival Wooster into fourth place with 521 team points, while the Tiger women improved their standing by one as well, moving into sixth place with 411 points, just 14 behind Oberlin for fifth place. CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. — Although Wittenberg could not leave Wabash with a win, they had a strong meet, particularly from Neil Anderson (Lakewood, Ohio/Lakewood), who was a part of every Tiger first place finish in swimming events.
