Joe Zeller
CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. - The Wittenberg University men's soccer team is now assured of its second appearance in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Tournament in program history. With a dominant win over Wabash, the Tigers guaranteed themselves one of the top three seeds in the postseason, which begins Wednesday, Oct. 31. After Wednesday's action, Kenyon and Wittenberg are tied atop the conference standings, one point ahead of third-place Ohio Wesleyan.

The name of the game was Joe Zeller (Springfield, Ohio/North), who scored three of the Tigers' five goals against the Little Giants. Other scorers for the Tigers included Ryan Ruef (Plain City, Ohio/Jonathon Alder) and Anthony Ianiro (Mayfield Heights, Ohio/University School). All but one of the games goals came in the second half, as the Tigers opened up a huge 5-0 advantage before relinquishing any goals.

Backup goalie Nick Ferrari (Dublin, Ohio/Coffman) earned his second appearance of the season, playing the final 23 minutes and giving up both Wabash goals in the final 13 minutes of the game. Ben McAnnis-Entenman (Portland, Ore./Cleveland) played the balance of the minutes and gave up no goals on 1 save.

Justin Jenkins (Dublin, Ohio/Coffman) and Michael Condon (Powell, Ohio/Watterson) both earned assists. The Tigers play their last regular season game of 2007 at Ohio Wesleyan at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26.
