The Tiger offense played strong in the second quarter and scored four goals. Burrell, Habermeyer, Eric Clapp and Mario Cassani each scored a goal in the second quarter with Habermeyer also recording an assist. The defense was strong, but broke down late in the first half and allowed three more Kenyon goals. The Lords had a 7-6 lead at the end of the first half.
As the Tigers entered the third quarter, the offense remained strong scoring four more times while allowing only two goals by Kenyon. Cassani had two goals for the Tigers and Mark Burrell added a goal and an assist. Mike Stormshak scored the fourth goal with an assist by Habermeyer. The Tigers took a 10-9 lead into the final quarter of the game.
The fourth quarter had both teams playing a hard-fought battle. Stormshak scored the final Tiger goal and allowed the Tigers to have a two-goal advantage. The battle continued as the Lords scored one more goal with less than a minute left to play. The Tiger defense remained strong and the Lords would not score again. The Tigers prevailed 11-10 over Kenyon and remained undefeated in the conference.
Senior goalie Michael Oliver recorded 18 saves and eight groundballs for the Tigers.
