The men's side saw an outstanding individual performance come from sophomore Kevin Frick (Columbus, Ohio/Grandview), where he took 60th overall in the very deep field, covering the 8,000 meter course in 26:34. He was the second Tiger to finish on the men's side, trailing only senior Gabe Savage (Lewisburg, Ohio/Tri-County North) who placed 48th in 26:20. Sophomore Daniel Whonsetler (Prospect, Ky./Sacred Heart) also took home a strong race, with a 127th place finish and a time of 27:42.
On the women's side, freshman Mary Pfeifer (Dublin, Ohio/Coffman) took 36th overall; one of three Tigers to finish in the top 40 on the 6,000 meter course. Pfeifer finished in 23:38. Standout Darcy Dubuc (Grand Haven, Mich./Grand Haven) continues what has been a tremendous freshman campaign, taking ninth in the field with a time of 22:46. Freshman Anna Henry (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Kenston) took home a time of 23:19 and a 21st place finish overall.
The Tiger harriers will take a weekend off before getting ready for the All-Ohio Championships, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University, coming up on Friday, October 10th.
