Springfield, Ohio – The Wittenberg Guild presents its 56th annual Scholarship Style Show on Saturday, Nov. 5, in the Center Dining Room of the Benham-Pence Student Center. Chaired by Jeanne Loftis, this year’s show titled Fun, Fit and Fabulous begins with a social hour and silent auction at 10 a.m., followed by lunch and the show beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Fun, Fit and Fabulous is a tribute to women of every age who work, volunteer, nurture their families and make invaluable contributions to their communities. Auction items are donated by members and friends of the Wittenberg Guild, and the show will feature fall fashions for women of all ages and sizes, as well as children.
Local volunteer models will don clothing from Macy’s at Tuttle Crossing after being treated to professional hair and make-up for the show by Mallia Salon and Day Spa. Lynn Jacques of Macy’s will narrate. This year’s show features a wide range of models and includes clothing for every body type and age, in addition to a bridal couple that will wrap up the show with a preview of wedding fashion.
The Wittenberg Guild is a women’s organization focused on promoting Wittenberg and utilizing its educational resources to enrich the local community, as well as awarding scholarships to students from Clark and surrounding counties who plan to attend the university. Through the years, the organization has raised more than $1 million for scholarship support, campus landscaping, artwork for the student center, renovation of the Ann Miller Gallery in Koch Hall and pianos for Krieg Hall.
Prizes, including a $250 gift certificate to Mallia Salon and Day Spa, expandable luggage by Vera Bradley from The Chandler House, a painting by Wittenberg Associate Professor of Art Ed Charney custom framed by Framehaven Gallery, a round of golf at Dayton Country Club and jewelry from Goldesign, will be raffled off during the event.
