Welcome Class of 2017!
Congratulations and welcome to Wittenberg University. Your acceptance means you are now part of an active, engaged learning environment -- one that will stretch you, inspire you and prepare you for a life of meaning and purpose.
At Wittenberg, you will find professors willing to do whatever it takes to ensure your understanding of a subject. One even rented a hockey rink.
You will find a campus rich with tradition yet flexible enough to be able to offer activities tailored to your recreational interests and career aspirations. From a gospel choir to the caving club, students annually enrich campus life with their own interests and subsequent ability to turn their interests into full-fledged programs that inspire others.
Add to those options avenues aimed at developing leadership skills -- one student led the campaign to start a Confidence Coalition while another worked with the WittEntrepreneurs to develop his own business -- and Wittenberg quickly becomes the poster child for hands-on learning at its best.
Off-campus, the connections continue through the Hagen Center for Civic & Urban Engagement. A few students in partnership with their professors are even working to turn Springfield's own Buck Creek into a recreational corridor and a kayaking dream.
Beyond campus, our alumni are leaders in their fields, in their communities, nationally and on a global scale. Leaders in business, medicine, law, communication, science, education and art regularly hold a Wittenberg degree, as do some of the best former scholar-athletes in Division III.
Get to know us more right here on our accepted student site. Connect with other accepted students on your class' FB page. Feel the Wittenberg experience through the series of videos. See your financial aid package, so you can learn firsthand of the investment we want to make in you.
Congratulations again. We chose you because we believe you will make us proud, not just on campus but well after your time with us. We can't wait to see in you in the Class of 2017.

Wittenberg University is anything but a sleepy campus. It's an active and engaged place where students come from all over the world to live, learn and explore the world around them.
