Special Interest Award in Theatre
Criteria: The Department of Theatre and Dance offers scholarships to incoming students who display exceptional talent and promise in theatre or dance. The Special Interest Award in Theatre is renewable annually to students who actively participate in Wittenberg's theatre program regardless of major or minor. An audition or interview, headshot/photo, resumé, letter of intent, and letter of reference are required.
Amount: Starting at $1,500 per year.
Students wishing to apply for a Special Interest Award in Theatre should contact Professor Corwin Georges, Chair of the Dept. of Theatre and Dance at 937-327-7464 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Dr. Georges will set up the audition or interview for the student, which must be scheduled by March 1.
Applicants are to submit before or on the day of the audition/interview the following: a resume detailing their theatre experience and education; a headshot/photo; a letter of reference from a theatre director or a theatre instructor; and a letter of intent in which the student discusses how participating in theatre at Wittenberg will help them achieve their academic, vocational, or personal goals.
