Hello, out there! Wondering about the Writing Center advisors? Here’s a little about me! I have one little sister who has been my best friend since she was born (no choice, actually, since we moved too often to make real friends). However, close as she and I are, one day I hope to live in Japan, but I’m not certain as to what I want to do there. My hope is to work at Tokyo Disneyland in the summer as a Disney princess (Belle or Mary Poppins, perhaps). I have a serious weakness for anything with the words “chocolate” or “caramel” involved, but martial arts helps to keep me in shape. My family is all linguistically interested and between the four of us, we can communicate in 8 different tongues (predominantly English, Spanish, and Russian). Despite this knack for the spoken word, I hate spelling checks and quizzes, but rearranging phrases, sentences, or paragraphs is my specialty, I think. Making thoughts flow well makes me very happy and I tend to pick at my own essays and paper until they are as organized as possible. Furthermore, I go positively berserk on punctuation; semi-colons and comas abound in most of my writing since they seem forgotten in most other works. Whenever you have a question, please don’t be shy about coming down to see me or any of the other writing advisors! |
