Tuition Insurance
With the current level of education costs, we have a concern for the student who suffers a serious illness or accident and has to leave Wittenberg before the semester is completed. In many instances, it means not only the loss of time invested in studies, but also the loss of the semester's costs.
Based upon this, we are pleased to advise you of an optional tuition insurance program, The Student Protection Plan, which can minimize the financial portion of your loss. In addition to the tuition insurance coverage, the Student Protection Plan includes these valuable benefits:
- Emergency Medical Evacuation Annual Insurance. This provides up to $50,000 in Emergency Medical Evacuation insurance. The plan offers worldwide medical coverage and will transport the student home or to the nearest medical facility of the student’s home, plus pay any qualified accompanying travel medical expenses incurred.
- Identity Theft Protection and Resolution Services. They will monitor the Internet and alert you if someone tries to use your credit card information. They will help you recover quickly if you become a victim of identity theft.
- Physical and Virus Damage Protection. They will reimburse you for both physical and virus damage to your PC up to $1,000 for each type of damage. (Coverage not available in New York.)
- Extended Warranty. For most items purchased for college, they will extend the manufacturer’s original warranty for as long as you’re a member in the Student Protection Plan, for a maximum of 5 years. (Coverage not available in Maine.)
