Liberal Arts In Action: A Celebration of Learning

Welcome to the first-ever campus-wide celebration of academic excellence at Wittenberg University. An extension of last fall's inauguration of the university's 14th president, Laurie M. Joyner, Ph.D., the series of events includes more than 130 student-led panel sessions, posters, presentations and performances from April 10-13. 

A complete schedule follows below listed by student name or by department. The annual Honors Convocation will also take place during the celebration at 4 p.m. Friday, April 12. Please join us in celebrating student success on every level.

A Music Department Showcase featuring performances by the Witt Choir and Witt Singers conducted by Adam Con, Flute Ensemble under the direction of Lori Akins, Symphonic Band and Chamber Orchestra conducted by Brandon D. Jones, Handbell Ensemble under the direction of Trudy Faber, a Faculty Chamber Trio with Christopher Durrenberger (piano), Daniel Kazez (cello) and Richard York (clarinet), and an oboe duet featuring Lisa Grove and alum Ben Williams ’10.

The recital will feature works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Robert Schumann, Henri Duparc, Gerald Finzi, and Neil Diamond.
