B. The Wittenberg University Police & Security Department

The university district is protected 24 hours a day, seven days a week all year by the Wittenberg Police and security officers. The Wittenberg Police are licensed officers who have the power to arrest, and they are charged with the duty of enforcing all campus safety regulations and all local and state laws. The department has three purposes: to protect members of the community and their visitors while in the University District; to protect university property and the property of community members; and to maintain order in the University District.
