C. Paid Time Off in Lieu of Overtime Pay (Comp Time) for Hourly Staff
With the approval of their supervisors, hourly staff may choose to take paid time off in lieu of overtime pay if the following stipulations are followed:
• Paid time off is awarded at the rate of one-and-one-half hours for each hour worked for which overtime compensation is required, and
• Under Federal Law, paid time off must be used in the bi-weekly pay period in which it is earned.
