Develop an Emergency Plan

I am suggesting that you as a student and family make an emergency plan.
These are uncertain times. There are global and local health concerns as well as family issues that develop suddenly. If you have never thought about how you would gather together as a family in an emergency, take time to think about it and develop a plan.

How would you as a student get home in an emergency?
Do you have emergency funds available to you?
Does it require an airline ticket?
How far in advance would you have to plan?
If you cannot get home in an emergency, where would you go?
If you live close by, would you be willing to provide temporary housing or transportation to another student?

So far, the University is not asking for an emergency plan on file, but some schools do. Please, take this issue seriously, and plan. We would be glad to put your plan on file if you develop one.
