German Tutors

Martin Brahier

Grüss Gott!
My name is Martin Brahier, I am from Salzburg, Austria and I am a native German speaker. I am nineteen years old and very interested in culture and cultural differences in particular. Last year I travelled to Australia by myself. It was then when I decided to study in the US for four years.
Further interests are Basketball, Music (Falco!), art and politics.

Jessica Konczak

Hallo! My name is Jessica Konczak and I'm from Mansfield, Ohio. I'm a sophomore at Wittenberg and a double major of German and International Studies. This is my first year of tutoring at the FLLC, but I have been studying German since 8th grade. I love to travel and my goal is to go somewhere new every year. So far I've been to Germany, Austria, and Guatemala. I work in the FLLC  M-W-F from 1:00-3:00 if you need any help or just someone to study with feel free to stop in!

Emily Roesch

My name is  Emily Roesch. I have studied German for a while and spent a WONDERFUL semester abroad my Junior year. I highly recommend studying aroad although I do not recommend spending  two weekends in a row at Oktoberfest- it is really expensive. After maxing-out my credit card in Prague I am back in the states working feverishly to pay it all back. It was totally worth it though. Come join me in the language lab- where I can share my knowledge of German or whatever else you want to know about.

Edith Sicken

Hello! I’m Edith and I’m one of the German tutors in the FLLC this year! I spent my junior year abroad in Marburg, Germany – I had a fantastic time and I got to see a lot of really amazing places (and I took a few thousand pictures on my year abroad) and got to eat a lot of awesome food (I highly recommend Aufläufe!). I would definitely encourage you to studying abroad – going to Paris, on a whim, for your birthday is pretty epic – so is being able to tell stories about visiting the real Castle Frankenstein! (I’m a horror film nerd.) This year I’m a senior, finishing up my German major and my Poli Sci minor. If you ever need help with Deutsch, come visit me – I’d be happy to chat with you!
