Since its founding, Wittenberg has insisted on instilling in its students a willingness of spirit to serve beyond themselves.
For Emilie Naccarato, class of 2016, joining the Wittenberg community meant full immersion in the Springfield community as well. Always wanting to help others, Naccarato, from Athens, Ohio, began volunteering at The Ark South in Springfield, a faith-based, after-school program for children in grades K-6.

Our Mission
The Community Service program provides students with opportunities to serve, to connect with the greater Springfield community, and to reflect on the service experience to better understand themselves, community needs, and their responsibility in advancing the common good.
Fall and Spring Semester: 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday
Summer Hours: 8:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday
