Are you looking for a hands-on biology program that allows you to explore your interests in a variety of ways? At Wittenberg, you can combine classroom and laboratory instruction with extended field experiences, internships, independent research or off-campus field programs. From Ohio, Kentucky and Michigan to North Carolina and the Bahamas, field experiences reinforce classroom instruction and offer wonderful opportunities for independent research.

Our students benefit from collaborative relationships with faculty, both in the classroom and lab and through independent research projects. Biology classes typically have a maximum of 25 students, with an average class size of 16 in upper-level courses and 12 in lab sections, ensuring hands-on experience and close student-instructor interaction. A relaxed atmosphere encourages informal dialogue and fosters the development of mentoring relationships.

American Institute of Biological Sciences: Explore the natural world through nature hikes, trips to the zoo and aquarium, and rock climbing.
