105. Spanish for Professionals I. 4 semester hours.
The first course of the two-course series designed to meet the needs of professional learners enabling them to achieve language competency goals within the context of their professional interests and in a learning environment designed to accommodate the lifestyle of the non-traditional student. Enrollment is limited to students in the School of Community Education.
Fernando A. Blanco was born in Santiago, Chile. He joined Wittenberg as Assistant Professor of Spanish and Cultural Studies. He is a graduate of the Universidad de Chile where he earned his BA on Hispanic Linguistics and Literatures and an MA on Literary Theory. He also earned a Diplome on Cultural Studies from U ARCIS in Santiago.
Spanish Major Requirements:
12 semester hours at the 200 level, including Spanish 264 and 265
12 semester hours at the 300 level, including Spanish 301 or 302
12 semester hours at the 400 level, including Spanish 450
Ruth J. Hoff, Associate Professor of Languages, teaches courses in Spanish language and literature. She received her B.A. from St. Olaf College, and her M.A. and Ph.D.
