Wittenberg music ensembles are open to all students, regardless of major.

Any student with music background may enroll in a music ensemble. In addition to enrolling, visit the music building (Krieg Hall) during New Students Days to sign up for an audition.

Wittenberg Choir, an SATB ensemble, is the singing ambassador for Wittenberg. In addition to performing each semester on campus, they tour each spring semester, performing sacred and secular repertoire throughout the region, state, and country. Every three years, the ensemble travels abroad. |

Symphonic Band is the largest instrumental group on campus, and is open to Wittenberg students, faculty, and staff, as well as members of the Springfield community. |

Chamber Orchestra is open to all string players (students, faculty, staff, and members of the Springfield community). Woodwind, brass, and percussion players also perform, as repertoire requires. |

|
Flute Choir performs a concert on campus each semester, often in collaboration with other Wittenberg ensembles. |

|
Handbell Choir performs in Weaver Chapel for holiday services and festivals and presents an annual spring concert. |
|
|
Jazz Band is a full big band with saxophones, trumpets, trombones, and a rhythm section that performs music including swing, Latin, and rock fusion. |

Opera Studio presents two productions per year. |

|
Witt Singers is an SSAA women’s choir that performs both sacred and secular music. They perform in major university events and present a concert each semester. |
|
|
Musical theatre productions are jointly produced by the Music Department and the Department of Theatre and Dance. These productions, directed by faculty, are presented in Chakeres Memorial Theatre. Students cast in major roles may enroll in Music Theatre Production for credit. |

|
Smaller groups are formed in response to student interest. Some of these groups are composed entirely of students; others include both students and faculty. |
