Wittenberg University Optional June Orientation

Friday June 14 * Friday June 21 * Wednesday June 26

Come to Optional June Orientation and:

  • Learn about the how, what, and why of Wittenberg’s liberal arts curriculum
  • Discuss your four year academic journey with a faculty advisor
  • Build your Witt network by meeting other Witt students, faculty, and staff
  • Become more familiar with your new campus home, and tour your residence hall
  • Plan for a successful beginning to your college career
  • Understand better the key differences between high school and college
  • Get your questions answered about: Study Abroad, Campus Safety, Residence Life, Internships and Career Services,
    Financial Aid, Meal Plans, Student Organizations and Student Involvement, Campus Religious Life, Student Accounts,
    ​Academic Services and Disability Services, Wittenberg Athletics, Student Employment, and more…

  • Receive a bag of college swag, including a stylish Witt T-Shirt

10:45-11:00     Welcome from Provost Chris Duncan (Shouvlin 105)

11:00 -12:00     New Student Orientation and The Liberal Arts at Wittenberg (Shouvlin 105)

12:00-1:20       OJO Lunch and Resource Fair (Central Dining Room, Student Center 2nd floor)

1:30-2:20         Residence Hall Tours, Campus Tours (Start from Benham-Pence Student Center lobby), Informal Meetings with Faculty and Peer Mentors (Geil Lounge, Student Center Lower Level) 

2:30-3:20         Student Session I: Hello, College Rules (Blair Hall 101, 201)

3:30-4:00         Student Session II: Walk and Talk with Peer Advisors

4:10-5:00         Student Session III: Academic Planning for a Four Year Journey and Advising Q&A (Blair 101, 201)

5:00-6:30         Class of 2017 Picnic and Pie Gala (Stoughton Lawn)

5:00-6:30         Class of 2017 Picnic and Pie Gala (Stoughton Lawn)

OJO 2013 Registration and Fees:

Student: $55

Fee includes a copy of College Rules!: How to Study, Survive, and Succeed in College, 3rd Ed. (which all students have
to purchase for their first year seminar in the fall), a Witt T-shirt, lunch, and dinner

Parents / Guardians / Siblings: $25 each

Registration fee covers lunch and dinner

Please note: All OJO registration fees are added to the student’s fall tuition.
