When first-year student Taylor Hiner received the assignment, she was uncertain of either idea or approach. Her final submission to the nationally broadcast program, 'This I Believe', benefited directly from her deliberations, since she joins an esteemed few students whose work has been accepted by this well-regarded publication. English department faculty and students joined to commemorate the passing of author J.D. Salinger with our First Annual Read-A-Thon, held two weeks ago in the Hollenbeck atrium.
