
Tracy Whitlock
Tracy Whitlock, Assistant Professor of Education, joined the Wittenberg faculty in the fall of 2011. She teaches reading courses, including phonics and reading in the content areas. Before becoming a part of the Wittenberg community, Dr. Whitlock taught at the University of Louisiana Lafayette. As a “Ragin Cajun” she worked with both undergraduate and graduate students teaching courses in classroom management, language arts methods for elementary teachers and secondary teachers, and mentoring of beginning teachers.
Dr. Whitlock received her undergraduate degree from Emory University and taught in urban, suburban and parochial elementary and middle school settings. She earned her Ph.D. from Peabody College at Vanderbilt University. Her research interests include teacher thinking, mentoring, and literacy development.
