Project Development Seminar

This seminar is currently under development.  Continue to check back for more details.

•  The seminar will be a one-day session that might include a major speaker and then would break up into subject specific sessions.   The purpose would be to provide information about the student projects, provide and display examples of such projects, and provide information about how such projects help teachers and students satisfy both test demands and the Ohio Academic Content Standards.

•  Attendees at the event will earn graduate credit.   The credit can be extended from the first meeting through the year to include subsequent meetings.

•  Attendees at the event will be meet in subject groups to brainstorm student projects and then to plan ones that they might do.   Attendees can apply for a materials stipend to help fund their work through the year.

•  The attendees can meet at separate times during the year to check/report on projects and gather more general information: reluctant learners, attending to individual student needs, public demonstration and defense, portfolio development, project assessment, conducting student-led critiques.

•  The culminating event of the conference will be a festival celebrating student work and inviting members of the public to see the results.
