People to Know

Mr. Toshikata “Toshi” Amino

brings over 40 years of international business leadership experience to the service of Wittenberg University, which he joined in 2009 as the senior Executive in Residence.
Mr. Amino began his career in the automotive industry in 1966 with Honda Motor Company Ltd., where he held a number of sales and executive positions, finally retiring as Executive Vice President at Honda. in1995.

As an Executive-in-Residence at Wittenberg and at Ohio State, Mr. Amino annually shares his international business insights with students in classes.

Ms. Kerry Dumbaugh, Class of '74

Ms. Dumbaugh, one of Wittenberg's first East Asian majors, re-joined Wittenberg in 2009 as a Senior Fellow at the East Asian Institute. 

Since 1985, Ms. Dumbaugh has been a Specialist in Asian Affairs at the Foreign Affairs, Defense, and Trade Division of the Congressional Research Service (CRS), a research arm of the U.S. Congress. She specializes in analyzing the political, security, and human rights developments in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan and their implications for U.S. interests. She has written extensively on U.S. policy in Asia and on U.S. relations with Asian governments, and at one time served as the head of the Asia Section at CRS. 

Ms. Dumbaugh is the moderator for a public TV program in the Washington area, “The China Forum,” involving interviews and discussions on national issues with scholars, former government officials, and other experts in the Asia policy field. Her work has been published in the Washington Journal of Modern China, the University of Pennsylvania Journal of International Economic Law, by the Congressional Research Service, and in other publications.

Ms. Dumbaugh is a frequent visitor to campus and is willing to mentor students who are interested in China, Communication, Chinas politics, and Chinese studies.
